Blind box odds confuse almost every new collector, so let us clear it up before you spend money on the Have a Seat series – or any series.
What “blind box” actually means
Each box contains one style from the series, chosen at random by the manufacturer. The official series page lists every regular style and usually one or two rare “secret” styles. Retailers receive sealed cases with a fixed mix inside – that mix is decided by the brand, not by the shop that sells it.
What a shop can and cannot promise
No honest shop can promise you a secret pull from a single box, because nobody – including the shop – knows what is sealed inside. Any store advertising “higher secret odds” is either guessing or opening boxes, and both should worry you.
What a shop can honestly promise is a sealed case guarantee: buy a full case and you are guaranteed the complete regular set, because every sealed case contains it by design.
How collectors actually get the style they want
- Buy a full case if you want the whole regular set – it is the only method with a guarantee.
- Trade duplicates – the blind box community is huge on trading after opening.
- Buy open-box singles from reputable sellers when you only want one specific style and do not care about the surprise.
Before you order any series
Check the official series page for the style list and the published odds, count how many regular styles exist, and decide what you actually want: the thrill of the pull, or the complete set. Both are valid – but they lead to different purchases.
